Os 150 índios Krenak, habitantes da margem esquerda do Rio Doce, município de Resplendor, serão despejados a qualquer momento de suas terras em consequência de reintegração de posse determinada em juízo a Balbino Laigner Lacerda, fazendeiro da região. Existem, em Minas Gerais, cerca de seis mil índios, pertencentes aos grupos Xakriabá, Pataxó, Maxacali e Krenak.
