Cerca de 2700 índios Mundurucu do Pará ameaçam atacar os cerca de 100 garimpeiros que invadiram a reserva de Jacareacanga, se estes não saírem da área. A invasão ocorreu depois do decreto presidencial 1.755 de FHC, que permite a contestação de áreas indígenas não-regularizadas.
