A Polícia Federal e o Ministério Público mandaram ontem um grupo de agentes e procuradores ao município de Jacareacanga, para tentar negociar a libertação de três funcionários da Funai, mantidos reféns pelos índios. Os índios reivindicam a retirada de 300 garimpeiros que invadiram a reserva, e de outros 200 invasores suspeitos de buscar mogno e outras madeiras nobres.
