A Amazônia deverá ter uma rede de informações a respeito das línguas indígenas a ser disponibilizada na internet. A iniciativa é resultado do Encontro de Línguas Indígenas da Amazônia. Na plenária final do evento, pesquisadores de nove países amazônicos, lideranças indígenas e cientistas europeus e norte-americanos expuseram debates a respeito da abordagem científica e da situação atual das línguas faladas na região.
