A UNI, entidade que conta com cerca de duzentos coletivos indígenas do Brasil, formalizou a criação da "Embaixada dos Povos da Floresta". Participaram da cerimônia a secretária municipal de Cultura, Marilena Chauí, o cantor Milton Nascimento e representantes de doze coletivos indígenas. A principal atividade da embaixada deverá ser a divulgação de informações sobre a cultura indígena.
