Funai pretende, nos próximos seis anos, tornar auto-suficientes todos os povos indígenas habitantes das regiões Nordeste e Centro-Oeste e alguns do Sul e Norte do país, a partir de projetos econômicos e da comercialização de suas produções agrícolas, e define a demarcação de terras como prioridade do órgão.
