A Secretaria de Assuntos Estratégicos (SAE), sucessora o Serviço Nacional de Informações (SNI), sabia das denúncias de abuso sexual contra o ex-presidente da Funai, Cantídio Guerreiro Guimarães, contra mulheres indígenas. A acusação foi feita pelo cacique Megaron, índio kayapó, coordenador do Parque Indígena do Xingu.
