O cacique-deputado Mário Juruna disse ao ministro Aureliano Chaves que as comunidades indígenas não aceitam, de forma alguma, conviver com mineradores em suas terras. Isto se deve ao fato de ter o ministro revogado o indeferimento de vários processos que autorizam a pesquisa de minério em áreas indígenas. Juruna disse que haverá reação por parte dos índios.
