Os índios Kaingang da reserva Barão de Antonina fizeram acordo com o presidente da Funai, Gerson Alves, o representante do Incra, Paulo Somer, e o presidente do ITC, José Bonifácio Cabral, e libertaram os quatro reféns que mantinham aprisionados em uma escola da reserva. Os índios exigiram a retirada dos posseiros e o afastamento da Polícia Militar que ocupa a área.
