O presidente da Funai, Gerson da Silva Alves, disse que os índios Kaingang , do posto indígena de Mangueirinha, decidiram não desocupar a área pendente há três anos na Justiça contra o Grupo Slaviero. Os índios expulsaram sete famílias de colonos e interditaram as rodovias BR-281 e BR-373.
