O presidente da Funai, Nelson Marabuto, reprovou a atitude tomada pelo representante do Ministério para Assuntos Fundiários, coronel Gilberto Pimentel, que abandonou a reunião do Grupo Interministerial que discutia a questão da terra envolvendo índios Kaingang e posseiros, no município de Chapecó (SC). Pimentel se retirou ao constatar o interesse das lideranças Kaingang em assistir a reunião.
